If Ngozi gets World Bank job we are finished says Jonathan

Abuja - Perhaps eager to give the people another presidential faux pas to keep them distracted, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has been overheard saying to the First Lady, "If Ngozi gets that World Bank job, we are finished."

It is not clear to whom he was referring by WE. While some have suggested he was expressing concern over the Nigerian economy should the Minister for Finance get World Bank job, (which she deserves, by the way), others are claiming that the president's worry is over himself and the rest of the first family. It is also not clear what crucial role Mrs. Iweala plays for the First Lady and her children.

Nigeria's inactivity in promoting Okonjo Iweala's candidature has also been linked to the President's statement.

Those who claim to be in the know have hinted that should the minister take up the World Bank job, she would be free from the shackles of the PDP to name erstwhile unknown members of The Cabal, and her departure would also mean removal of fuel subsidy can no longer be blamed on her as she would also be free to say whose idea it really was.
