Nigeria restarts rebranding campaign with change of name
The country formerly known as Nigeria.

Abuja - The federal republic of Nigeria has decided to reinvigorate its almost dead rebranding campaign which suffered a major setback with the resignation of former Minister of Information, Dora Akunyuli.

The country has decided to embark on a new rebranding project starting with a change in Name to something, in the words of the new minister of information, ‘More reflective of our current values and norms.’

After much deliberation, the government has strategically decided to adopt “Ladder of Liberation,” (LOL), as the new name for the country.

The new minister of information, Labaran Maku, explained that LOL will better encompass what the country stands for and give the wider world a better view and understanding of the great Nation.

Pressed on exactly how the country formerly known as Nigeria represents a Ladder of Liberation, the minister explained that in more ways than one, the country has become synonymous and representative of LOL.

The Minister charged all Citizens to relax and enjoy the new Nigeria that has now become a LOL. He said the new name will magnify our current values and show that truly we are an African “Ladder of Liberation,” LOL.

Reacting to the news, former Head of State, jailbird, former two term president, and elder statesman of unknown age, Retired Major General Olusegun Obasanjo, said, "I still dey laugh o!"
