Notice to Nigerians at home and abroad
14 Apr 2011
Learn to respect the office of the President, even if you don't respect the party or the man occupying it
This is a public service announcement to all Nigerians living in Nigerian and abroad who have been taking liberties with their mouths and insulting the office and the person of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Following the breakdown in talks between the ACN and the CPC political parties, and their failure to field a consensus candidate, the afore mentioned people are hereby advised that the cut-off time for submission of official letters of apology to Mr President is no later than 12 midnight on Friday the 15th of April 2011.
Any attempts to offer apologies to Mr President after this time will not be entertained.
This administration wishes to restate its commitment to the tenants of free speech.
Citizens are however reminded that one man’s right to swing his arm, ends were another man’s right to defend his nose begins - or for that matter his wife.
Opposition party members, Twitter and Facebook users, Bloggers, Sahara Reporters and Satirist, please take note.
Signed,
Office of the man in charge
