You cannot wear Google Glass during exams: School tells butter kid
06 Jun 2013
Lagos – The parents of a butter kid have dragged their child’s school to court in what is said to be an important test case.
Trouble started when the boy, fresh from a mid-month vacation to America, turned up in school in time to sit his exams, wearing his new Google Glass with prescription lenses.
A fellow classmate alerted school authorities on the potential to cheat that the device provides.
Several Google searches later and the school principal determined that the boy could not be allowed to take his exams wearing his prescription lens Google Glass.
The boy’s parents are arguing that, since the glasses are required by their son to read printed material, depriving him of the glasses during the exam is the reason the boy failed in the paper more than he had ever failed before.
